2-Ingredient Green Beans

Last week I came home with my weekly CSA bundle from Local Roots. Opening my bag I found a lot of really beautiful foods including these gorgeous green beans. but hold up… here’s the issue with green beans. I kind of hate them. It may be because I grew up eating frozen aisle green beans and was forever scarred or (I may make some of you upset) it may be more about the fact that they really aren’t the most delicious vegetable in the batch.  If you agree with me. I’m proudly going to let you in on a secret that I discovered. All you have to is wrap bacon around them. You don’t even need to add anything additional. This is going to change your life. You can thank me later.

2-Ingredient Green Beans

4 servings


  • 1 lb fresh green beans
  • 1 package of bacon


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Snip off any stems from green beans. Set out bacon. Gather green beans into a bundle of about 5-7 beans. Wrap one piece of bacon around each bundle. Set on baking dish.
  3. Pop in your oven and roast for 20 minutes. Once finished be careful of the hot bacon grease that is on the pan.
  4. Serve.
